Ponykarussell Vienna
The 1st Viennese Pony Carousel was opened in 1887 in the Wurstelprater. For 129 years, horses rode in circles with children on their backs to the sounds of an old organ – until the oldest attraction at the time was closed in 2016 after protests from animal rights activists and visitors.
In the course of the construction work, the Ponykarussell was expanded to include sanitary facilities, a kitchen, underfloor heating and a guest garden. In terms of cuisine, the Ponykarussell focuses on creative experience gastronomy and high quality: “As with our coffees and in the patisserie, we only gather the best products in the world – primarily from Austria. Because only what has been produced expertly, fairly and, if possible, organically, is good for us all.”
Ponykarussell is open since August 2021 and treats its guests to delicious coffee, cool drinks, reinterpreted snacks and nibbles.
The new owner ‘Helmut Brem’ had a challenge to renew everything, which has succeeded in creating a new catering landmark in Vienna. We were given the challenge to create the design for the ceiling. 20 individual triangular shapes had to be measured 1 by 1 and custom designed. A design process of up to 4 months preceded. The design was created in collaboration with the team of Cara Saven Wall Design. It is also a design from her collection; ‘Tropical Surprise’.
We then printed everything to size in the Netherlands and drove with our team from Haarlem to Vienna for the installation. With 2 high scaffolding we realized the installation in 2.5 days of hard work #teamworkmakesthedreamworks. A result we are still very proud of.
A year later we visited the place again, when the rest of the interior was also completed. After a warm welcome, we could enjoy the ambiance. Great to see that it has become a hotspot for the local people! The wallpaper project has been a real eye-catcher for this project and added value to the business.

Do you know the dimensions of the wall? We then divide the file into 70 cm strips. To make mounting even easier, we automatically add the numbering of the wallpaper at the bottom, so that you know what the correct order should be. The strips connect perfectly to each other, so they can be glued together. Paste it and DIY!
Seamless wallpaper (1 piece) is a good alternative to traditional panelled wallpaper, so you don’t see any seams. This wallpaper has a strong top layer, which prevents wrinkles and tears. This allows you to apply the wallpaper to walls quickly and easily. The top layer is water-repellent and offers good protection against surface damage and stains. You can easily apply seamless wallpaper to sufficiently smooth and even walls. This way the wallpaper adheres optimally.
